Redesigning and re-configuring the first ever project I had ever done as an architecture student - The Bench. The project is located under the sunken garden, adjacent to the Anglican Cathedral in Liverpool.
Being near such a sacred site, the bench can also be a space for meditation and reflection. Based on its context and cultural reference, the garden was once a cemetry. The “bench” is now transformed into a small chapel where people can re-visit their lost ones, One Last Time, which will give them a sense of relief, also decreasing the amount of anxiety they have after losing the one they love
